Our People

Jessica Lindsay

Jessica - Graduate Content Executive

What is you educational background?
1st Class BA (Hons) Journalism

What were you looking for in a career?
I was keen to write, but I also wanted a job where I could progress and think strategically.

Why did you choose Digitalis?
Even from the interview I had a good feeling about the company. The direction Digitalis is going in is exciting, and I prefer working with smaller, dynamic firms where you can get noticed and progress.

What is your role at Digitalis?
Most of my day involves writing content and making it suitable for our clients' needs online.

What is the training like?
Very hands-on, which I like. I was given an official pack to work through when I started and get on-the-job training from different colleagues.

What is the company culture like?
The company culture at Digitalis is great. We have snacks in the office, we go out for team lunches, have regular company socials and play fantasy football. I have made some great friends here and love the sociable atmosphere at work. Working in a smaller team also means you always have someone to go to if there are any issues.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
It's a great team, and it's fun to work in a fast-paced industry across a broad range of clients. Additionally, Digitalis is constantly innovating and it is exciting to be ahead of the curve with what we do.

Andrew Curry

Andrew Curry - Senior Client Manager

Why did you choose Digitalis?
As a company, Digitalis was unlike anything else I'd encountered before. As a graduate that was uncertain how to apply my skills in a working environment, the combination of proprietary technology, written communication and client management really appealed.

What is the training like?
It was great, very hands on, so you always felt you had the backing of your colleagues. Soon enough I was given autonomy over certain things and my role and responsibilities grew.

Does it matter what I am studying at university?
Not at all, there are roles here that suit all individuals. The work we do draws on skills from a variety of disciplines. You need to be a good communicator, but also feel comfortable handling data.

What does your day to day consist of?
All manner of things, it really varies week to week. My responsibilities include writing reports, researching new business opportunities or going to meet clients face-to-face.

What is the social side of Digitalis like?
A lot of fun. The Christmas parties in particular always provide some great memories. We have Friday beers and regular company socials and lunches.

What is the company culture like?
We work hard and take our responsibilities seriously. However, the environment is reasonably relaxed and nobody is micro-managed. Everyone behaves professionally but we also know how to have fun.

Emily Bennion

Emily Bennion - Deputy Director of Client Operations

I joined Digitalis in 2010 with limited experience, but eager to learn, and now I am Deputy Director of Client Operations. Digitalis has provided me with the tools I need to grow with the company. Not only did I get an opportunity to work in different teams to gain a wealth of experience, I also got the chance to explore new areas of the business and the ever changing industry. Being a small company, there is always opportunity to try new things and develop as an individual, as well as contribute directly to the growth of the company.

The work can be challenging but the environment is very supportive and hard work is well rewarded. Each day is different and projects can be quite dynamic and fast-paced, but there is always time for a laugh! We all get together regularly for a company social, which over the years has been amazing fun.
